Our Story
A Maison Born at Home
HerbHues did not begin as a brand. It began as a ritual.
A mother and son, teaching themselves a craft most people simply buy.
There were no masters to guide them at first — only hours upon hours of late-night videos and a great many mistakes: batches that didn’t set, scents that didn’t last, bars that never quite earned a place by the basin. They kept at it anyway, small batch after small batch, until the soap finally became something worth keeping.
And others noticed. Friends and family who visited would linger, turn a bar over in their hands, and ask where it came from. They left with soaps wrapped in paper and returned asking for more. Those first admirers became our first patrons — and their insistence gave HerbHues its name.
When we resolved to take it further, we refused to do it by halves. We trained properly — studying under multiple courses to refine the craft we had taught ourselves, perfecting formulation, fragrance, and finish until every bar met a standard worth putting our name to.
What was once made for a single household is now carried far beyond it. Across India, through Amazon, our bars reach homes in every corner of the country. Many of those homes have stayed with us for years, returning month after month for the same ritual — a loyalty we consider our truest measure of worth.
In time, our craft found rarer company still. We have been chosen by distinguished clients, entrusted with government gifting, and watched our soaps travel quietly across borders — to the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and beyond.
Yet the heart of the making has never changed. Every bar is still poured by hand, in small batches, from one hundred per cent botanical ingredients — free of sulfates and parabens, never tested on animals. The same devotion that began with two people and a quiet curiosity now lives in every order we send into the world.
This is HerbHues: a family that taught themselves to make something pure — and a world that asked to keep it close.
